Описание к видео Hiromi Iwasaki 岩崎宏美 - Madonna tachi no Lullaby (Legenda br)

The song "Madona tachi no Lullaby" was composed by John Scott as a short piece to accompany the end credits of "Kayo Suspense Gekijo (火曜サスペンス劇場....The Tuesday Night Suspense Movie) on NTV. See the video in the following link:

Although it was not intended to be recorded, demand was such that a full song was composed by Toshiyuki Mori Hiroyuki with lyrics by Keisuke Yamakawa. The single by Hiromi Iwasaki 岩崎宏美 was scheduled for release in April 1982. However, John Scott complained that the composer had taken Scott's music for his own. The dispute was settled with both listed as composers. Hiromi Iwasaki's single was released on May 21, 1982.

Composer: Toshiyuki Mori Hiroyuki and John Scott
Lyrics: Keisuke Yamakawa

This video was uploaded by "Bluearts" in 2007. It was the Twenty-Fifth Anniversay of Hiromi's recording. The on-screen translation of the Japanese lyric is in Portuguese. A translation of the lyric into English follows below. This video is a reload of the video posted by me in 2011.

Come now, sleep
Lay down your exhausted body
And let me close those pale eyelids
With a gentle kiss
Ah, if I could
I'd be reborn as your mother
And, staking my very life
I'd want to protect you
Because this city is a battlefield
Its men all soldiers bearing wounds
Go ahead and cast off that pain
Return to the small child you once were
And be soothed in this warm embrace
That's right... those tears of yours
You showed only to me
And it was that day that I decided
I'd live to support your dreams
Passion one day fades, but
There exists a deeper love
Even should you someday turn your back on me
Gazing at you from afar, I will always be
Your Madonna
Go ahead and cast off that pain
Return to the small child you once were
And be soothed in this warm embrace
