Avenue of the Giants Redwood Forest | Eureka isn't what we expected... (EP. 12)

This is episode 12 of our It's Time to Run series which is our journey from selling our house to living on the road indefinitely. So far we have visited Arizona, Colorado, Utah, California, and Oregon! Stay tuned for where we go next...

In this episode we spend time in the Northern California area. We go through Avenue of the Giants - which was stunning, and then end up in Eureka. We talk about the highs and the lows of being in that particular area, mainly because we want to honest and transparent on this journey. We know we aren't always perfect in our descriptions, but we do our best to have empathy for others while also conveying the true picture of what an area is currently like.

NOTE: We are not putting Eureka or Humbolt county down. Keep in mind you are just seeing bits and pieces of who we are, but in reality we both keep a lot of things private. We are both very compassionate regarding the homeless issue across California, and hope there is a resolve one day. We also want to be realistic when creating our videos. It would be misleading to say that staying in downtown Eureka is safe for everyone. Mike and I had two different incidences while spending time in that area, and decided not to disclose those, but want to warn others when they choose where to stay in the area. The nature in these areas are gorgeous, and we did our best to show off many of the highlights!
