TACLOBAN, PHILIPPINES: What to do in 24 hours in this vibrant city

Often called the "Gateway to Eastern Visayas", this is the usual first stop when planning to explore the region (i.e., Kalanggaman Island, Samar, Biliran).

Exploring Tacloban in 24 hours is very doable and you can just hire a tricycle to give you a tour.

Must-visit attractions here include the San Juanico Bridge which connects the island of Leyte and Samar and also the McArthur Leyte Landing Memorial which is in nearby town of Palo, Leyte. Other attractions include the Yolanda Memorial Monument and Santo Nino Shrine and Museum.
