Are you in a toss up between staying close to your hometown or moving to a big city?

Because I’m kinda tired of hearing that small towns are boring.

Obviously there are tons of pros and cons to both options. In smaller towns, you’re more likely to find a cheaper pint. Bigger cities have Uber.

But ultimately, where you live comes down to your well being, and every year indexes show that factors like money and proximity to family contribute to your happiness.

So is it time to focus less on the ‘life script’ we’re given and more on creating a life that makes us happy?

This year, the Market town of Hexham in Northumberland was crowned happiest place to live with ‘community spirit’ and ‘belonging’ down as reasons why.

The Rightmove study found that being happier in a new area was highest amongst those that had moved from a town to a village.

And those living in a city were more likely to move to a town. So… where you live totally depends on what you want from life.
