All Things Theatre Podcast - Episode 1: Radio Theatre in the 21st Century

Welcome to Entity Theatre’s WNTT RADIO THEATRE podcast, ALL THINGS THEATRE. Each month we will explore with our featured guest some fascinating aspects of theatre: writing, directing, acting, stage management – all things related to theatre! We will premiere a new show at 8 PM on the first Sunday of each month. Please leave comments along with any ideas about how we can make the podcast better and what you would like to hear about on a future podcast.

In the first episode Roger talks to director Jim Nellis about his passion for radio theatre and his new production THE DARK - A Halloween Radio Play.

Jim Nellis has combined his experience with Microsoft and Apple with a commitment to community service. He has been involved with Entity Theatre since 2005 in just about every conceivable theatre role – actor, producer, and director. In 2019 Jim raised the idea that there was still a place for radio theatre today – and proceeded to prove the point with a very successful rebroadcast of It's a Wonderful Life. It was an easy choice to begin our podcast series with the topic Radio Theatre in the 21st Century!

It was his vision that Entity's WNTT RADIO THEATRE could be a delightful source of entertainment and his passionate leadership that made it possible. His next production will be The Dark, a broadcast of several scary stories perfectly suited to the ghosts and goblins of Halloween.

Entity Theatre e.V. is a 20 year old Munich-based English-speaking nonprofit community-theatre company. We are a volunteer-driven organization with an eclectic and diverse group of members from across the globe. Our mission is to create theatre work that includes, but is not limited to, plays, staged readings, workshops, play-reading, and theatre festivals.
