US activist and philosopher Cornel West calls for a Gaza ceasefire

At a pro-Palestine rally in front of the UN headquarters in New York, Cornel West, the American philosopher and political activist, passionately demanded a ceasefire in Gaza, denouncing the "overwhelming barbarity."

West criticised the US for its failure to endorse a humanitarian pause and condemned the Israeli occupation and the siege on Gaza. He emphasised the pressing need to address the ongoing genocidal attack.
