Sparks fly, smoke billows and fires are left behind as a rail grinder rolls west on the Canadian Pacific's Chicago subdivision. An overcast day with rain nearby.

"Tank Truck One" followed closely behind the rolling machine. Putting out fires that the two crewman stationed on the aft car missed. Behind it came "Tank Truck Two" which doused the numerous small smoldering fires that seemed to ignite spontaneously long after the grinder had passed.
