Step back in time to 1928.........

Experience the excitement and take a ride in a restored original Standard D-25 the greatest of the barnstorming aircraft. Designed expressly for the barnstormer by Charles Day, the D-25 was easy to fly, capable of operating out of the smallest fields with its big, high-lift wings, and featured modern (1928) construction techniques – including a rugged wide-stance landing gear for rough fields. Best of all it doubled the payload of the “old” Standard with room for four paying passengers instead of two per flight.

The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is a true “living” museum of antique aviation located in the historic town of Rhinebeck, New York. We present one of the largest collections of early aeroplanes in the world, as well as automobiles, motorcycles, early engines and memorabilia spanning the period from 1900-1939.

Note: Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is saddened to report that longtime Aerodrome pilot Bill Gordon, 56, passed away late Friday, May 27th 2016. He was flying a vintage 1942 P-47 Thunderbolt WWII fighter when he was forced to ditch in the Hudson River
