It's a rare occurrence when the main mecha of a line was split up. The last set I remember being sold separately was Dairenoh, being sold separately as Ryuuseioh and the Kidenjyu, then being sold as a set together. It's also been a while since we had a mecha comprised of an individual robot, with the other components attaching to the individual robot to form the main mecha. Go-BusterOh's main component is Go-Buster Ace, otherwise known as Buster Machine CB-01. CB-01 has four modes: Buster Vehicle Mode, Buster Vehicle Mode (with Cheeda Nick attached), Buster Animal Mode, and the mode exclusive to CB-01, Go-Buster Ace. The toy also includes a small Cheeda Nick figure that folds up into the head of a cheetah. The Buster Vehicle Mode is a black and red sports car. Lift the front flap and you can snap in the cheetah head. From here, bring out the spoiler, swing it down and around, fold down the four sections and fold out the legs to bring yourself to Buster Animal Mode. Finally, convert it back, press the buttons on the top and swing the front car parts around, pull out the arms, bring the horn up and the glasses around, and plug Nick into the space in his chest. More details in the video! Overall, Go-Buster Ace is a really great individual toy, and even better with the acquisition of Gorilla and Rabbit. The benefit of added articulation in his shoulders and elbows is a plus over some other mecha, even if the waist and below is pretty much a brick. I love the design, and I love the toy. Definitely recommended for fans of the show.
