A wastewater treatment plant that was supposed to cost about $700 million has exploded to nearly $4 billion — and the North Shore, just 8% of Metro Vancouver’s population, is being billed 37% of the overrun.

Household sewer bills in the City of North Vancouver are rising from about $778/year toward ~$1,400/year by 2029 — and staying high for decades.
