Product Spotlight: Tim Genis Signature Series

Tim makes his recommendations for the mallet series, as well as how to "voice" the felt to obtain the best possible sound

Tim Genis has been a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra since 1993, when he won the appointment as Principal Percussionist - a position which he held until winning the timpani position, a role made vacant with the retirement of Vic Firth after a 50 year tenure.

Currently head of the percussion department at Boston University, Tim also runs the BUTI percussion program at Tanglewood. Mr. Genis has recorded for Sony, London Decca, and Philips recording labels and has been a guest performer with the Vienna Philharmonic and New York Philharmonic.
