Swope Guitars' Geronimo model burst onto the boutique guitar scene this year, receiving the Editor's Pick Award in Guitar Player Magazine's November 2014 issue. Here, Shelby demos these two recently arrived Swope Geronimo models at Chicago Music Exchange - the Swope Geronimo Knock Around Relic Seafoam Green and the Swope Geronimo Knock Around Relic Black. The amp used in this guitar demo is the Victoria Silver Sonic 1x12 Combo Amp.

Builder, Chris Swope, has been perfecting his guitar building craft for over 25 years having served a long tenure with Sadowsky Guitars in NYC followed by years at Gibson Custom Shop. Swope is inspired visually by futuristic sixties-era guitars from the US, UK, Japan, and Europe.

The Swope Geronimo delivers a plethora of inspiring tones that have an unsurpassed level of clarity and vitality, whether played clean or dirty. This is an extremely versatile guitar! If you are tired of looking and sounding like everyone else on stage, the Geronimo may be the guitar you've been waiting for.

The 5-way "Funk Bump" control can be engaged by turning the knob clockwise. It is only wired into the center position's signal path and squeezes the bottom end a bit. You'll mainly hear it on the lower strings. Clean, it has a bit of a subtle cocked wah sound on single notes. Dirty it up, play any Zeppelin-type riff and it's got a cool rip to it.
