Light Up the Holidays with McAllen. On Dec. 1, the community was invited to join McAllen’s City Commissioners for the 2nd annual lighting of the spectacular new 64’ Christmas tree on display at the McAllen Convention Center’s Oval Park.

The grand tree is one of the newest and biggest additions of holiday décor displayed around town, just one of the traditions McAllen is celebrating this holiday season. The tree will be on display for the public to enjoy throughout the month of December.

The fun-filled calendar of Holiday activities in McAllen’s Oval Park this December includes the McAllen Holiday Express Train and Pedal Boat Rides for children and adults of all ages. Paddle boats will also be available to share these views in the Oval Pond. The fee for each ride is $5 per person.
