Back in the extremely early days of my time on Youtube and of playing Resident Evil 4, the most popular Mercenaries videos were often those of the NTSC Gamecube version. This version was the first released in North America and had more aggressive enemy AI. Due to this, the strategies used would often be rather different to the PAL version I played on.
I remember watching players like Rob1219 or HonestMelon, wishing I could one day be as good as them.
Recently, I acquired the NTSC Gamecube version and started playing it. The World Record for HUNK on Village sat at 201,100 by Xcessive Evil. My first attempt at this version gave me a score of 190,000, giving me the push needed to try and beat the World Record which has been top of this leaderboard category for 15 years.
Unfortunately, my strategy requires a lot more grenades than I ended up getting this round. I should be able to hit 207,000 if I get the right number of grenades, so look out for that as a future video. In any case, here's my best NTSC run so far!

En los primeros días de mi paso por Youtube y de jugar a Resident Evil 4, los vídeos de mercenarios más populares solían ser los de la versión NTSC de Gamecube. Esta versión fue la primera lanzada en Norteamérica y tenía una IA enemiga más agresiva. Debido a esto, las estrategias utilizadas a menudo eran bastante diferentes a las de la versión PAL en la que jugué.

Mi primer intento en esta versión me dio una puntuación de 190.000, lo que me dio el empujón necesario para intentar batir el récord mundial que ha estado en lo más alto de esta categoría de clasificación durante 15 años.
Desafortunadamente, mi estrategia requiere muchas más granadas de las que terminé obteniendo en esta ronda. Debería poder alcanzar 207.000 si obtengo la cantidad correcta de granadas, así que estén atentos a eso en un video futuro. En cualquier caso, ¡aquí está mi mejor partida NTSC hasta ahora!
