An E-type crossed with a D-Type | The extraordinary Jaguar E2A is the E-type origin story

As Jaguar progressed through the alphabet from C-Type to D-Type, the next on the list was the E-type. But the development of the legendary XKE wasn't just a simple matter of going from one sportscar design to another. Jaguar went through two prototypes: E1A and E2A to get to the design of the eventual roadster.

Only E2A still exists, eventually bought by Briggs Cunningham and taken to race in the states, and it races to this day at Goodwood. This is the story of the amazing machine, perhaps one of the rarest in the world.
