When God Doesn’t Give You Answers—Do This Instead

“Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God…” 1 Corinthians 4v1–5

1️⃣ Problems Are Solved, But Mysteries Are Stewarded

Some “thorns” aren’t problems to be fixed—they’re part of our formation (2 Cor 12v7-9).

If you treat a mystery like a problem, you’ll live frustrated.

Faith is not always about figuring things out; it’s about trusting when things don’t.

2️⃣ Be Faithful in What You Know

“It is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” (1 Cor 4v2)

Don’t obsess over what you don’t know—obey what you do know.

3️⃣ Don’t Jump to Conclusions Prematurely

“Judge nothing before the appointed time…” (1 Cor 4v5)

Acting too early causes more pain than waiting does: Abraham birthed Ishmael (Gen 16). Saul offered a sacrifice too soon (1 Sam 13). Israel made a golden calf (Ex 32)

4️⃣ Speak Mysteries Back to God by Praying in Tongues

Instinct vs. Intellect
Intellect: Logical, fast, pattern-based
Instinct/Discernment: Spirit-led, prayer-born, timed by heaven

Nature: Instinct Shows God’s Wisdom
🐢 Sea turtles return to the same beach to lay eggs—no map, just instinct
🐝 Bees build perfect hexagons—no blueprint
🐟 Salmon return upstream to spawn—guided by scent
🕸️ Spiders spin webs—no teacher
🐘 Elephants lead herds to hidden water—by memory
🐣 Chicks break the shell at the right time—without instruction

If animals follow God-given instinct, how much more should we follow the Holy Spirit?

“He who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God… he speaks mysteries.” (1 Cor 14v2)

Tongues is how your spirit prays what your soul can’t yet see.
