Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at an Adjustable Tri-Ball Mount.The Adjustable Tri-Ball Mount is an all-in-one solution to handling different ball sizes and weight requirements. It slides into a 2" by 2" trailer hitch receiver, and it secures in place with the included pin and clip. Now, you can tow up to 6,000 pounds with the 1-7/8" ball, up to 7,500 pounds with the 2" ball, and up to 10,000 pounds with the 2-5/16" ball. It comes with the set bolt right here, so you can tighten that down to reduce rattle and play, and secure the connection between the hitch ball platform and the shank.Now, the ball platform can adjust up and down the shank. That way, you can tow trailers with different heights using the same vehicle, and the same ball mount. This design allows you to get the level towing setup that you need, which is always the safest way to tow.

It can be used in either the drop position, or you can actually flip this over, and use it in the rise position. You would just need to flip this over inside the mount portion, which I'll show you how to do that in a moment. But again, you can use it in either the drop or rise positions. Now, the platform bracket, that's this portion right here, this can be installed with the set bolt on top or on the bottom to give even more range of adjustment with this ball mount.Now, if you have it installed in the lowest setting, like I do right now, with it oriented this way, which puts the balls as low as possible, this is going to give you a maximum drop of 6". That's measured from the inside top edge of the receiver tube of our hitch, down to the top of the ball platform.

If you have it in it rise position, with it at its highest setting, it's going to give you a maximum rise of up to 6", and then the unit is adjustable in increments of an 1-1/4". That's the distance between our adjustment holes, center on center.Now, the 2" shank is made from solid steel. It features a really nice durable black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. The hitch balls are made from steel and they're chromed for corrosion resistance. It does come with your 5/8" diameter hitch pin and clip for securing it inside of your 2" by 2" hitch.

One of the measurements I want to mention for you real quick before I show you how the unit works is from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch balls. That gives us a measurement of 16", right around 16".Now, when you're ready to adjust this up and down the shank, it's really simple to do. All you need to do is pull the two clips that are holding it in place, and then you can pull the pins, just like that. Then you can actually take this and slide it up and down the shank as needed. So, that's a really nice design of the unit.

This is how you adjust it. You could also take this out. You can flip it over, reinstall it, whatever works best for your application.Once you find the height setting you need for your application, you secure it back in place by reinstalling your pins and your clips. On this side, we just have the clips that go through. Now, these are all connected with one lanyard, so they're always together. That way, you don't have to worry about misplacing them or losing them.To switch between the different sized hitch balls, you pull out this clip, or that pin. You can take this out, and then you can rotate it to whatever ball you want to use for your application. You just make sure that the ball you want to use is pointing up. That's a really nice design. Again, you have a 1-7/8" ball, a 2" ball, and a 2-5/16" ball. Once you find the ball you need for your application, make sure it's facing up, slide it in, line up the pin holes, and secure it in place with your pin and clip.That's all there is to it.
