Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday arrived at the Calicut Airport in Kerala and will travel to his constituency in Wayanad, where he is scheduled to address a public meeting to thank the people for his Lok Sabha win.

The Congress MP has scheduled two programmes in his constituency, the first at Edavanna in Malappuram district and the second at Kalpetta in Wayanad district. The Congress has also planned a road show for Rahul Gandhi where he will be joined by the state leaders.

Speaking at a public meet in Malappuram, Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi has that the Prime Minister barely escaped the defeat. Hitting out at the performance of the BJP, he counted the mandate of Ayodhya.

Addressing a public meet in Malappuram, Congress MP from Wayanad and Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi said, “The truth is the Prime barely escaped in Varanasi and he would have been defeated himself in Varanasi.”

Mentioning the unprecedented mandate in Ayodhya, he stated that the BJP was defeated in Ayodhya. So it was the people of Ayodhya who sent the message to the BJP that we don’t appreciate hatred and violence.
