Pokemon Rejuvenation v13.5 Crest Challenge(.Karma Files Renegade Route)

We also do the Renegade Route! Renegade is Jan's favorite route and it is advertised to be more challenging in battles. This route is hard to arrive since we need to do a lot of sidequests to obtain crests and we get quite a lot of karma in this process. We need to get negative relationship points with Tesla and at least one of Melia, Aelita, Ren, Veman, Erin and Amber to get enough bad ending points in the case Karrina and Florin are alive.

Crescent's battle is identical to its Paragon counterpart so if you wanna know about its detail, go check our Paragon video. Karrina's Stoutland has Sand Rush and it hits really hard. Her mega-Diancie is also the main problem if we let it move first. Ren's battle isn't a big challenge compared to Karrina, but we need to be cautious to his Greninja and Crest Silvally.

Lake Trio aren't obtainable in Renegade and we have boss battles with them instead. Uxie and Azelf can be big problems if they are allowed to setup for too many times. Mesprit is the easiest battle among them.

If you choose to kill Karrina before, her part will be skipped and you won't get her Diancie. If Florin is dead, the karma will make Talon to stop us and eventually turn Talon into a Dimensional Rift. Rift Talon is an altform Braviary but it has Poison/Flying and Poison/Dragon types. Its moves are heavily boosted by its fields so we need to take it down quickly. Good news is it doesn't have high speed or bulk after several balances during beta. We get partial heal between battles so Rift Talon should be manageable if we have all Pokemon alive.

Similar as Paragon Route, we also battle Space Hags in this route, but we battle Spacea first instead. Compared to Paragon Tiempa as a pushover, Renegade Spacea is challenging and that makes Space Hags generally a lot harder in Renegade. Spacea can summon Clefairy with Follow Me and Helping Hand. Renegade Tiempa also has her final form as Dialga-Origin form, but she has two more shields instead. She can summon Celebi and Jirachi and both of them are annoying when Tiempa is active. Tiempa Origin form's biggest power is the ability to reset the entire battle every 7 turns, so if we cannot take her down in 7 turns, we will be reset to 7 turns ago and we will be locked in this cycle until we can take down her quickly enough. This isn't entirely bad if you fail to beat her in 7 turns purely by mistake, not by using wrong team or strategy.

Amber & Venam is the final battle in Renegade Route and it is a brutal 6v12. They both have teams weak to Ground type so Trick Room+Gravity+Earthquake is the best solution for them. It is also recommended to change the weather to Rain or Sandstorm. Otherwise, Amber hits incredibly hard with Heat Wave from all her Pokemon.

Alrighty, here we have both routes of Crest Challenges in .Karma Files. Renegade has lots of fun but overall it's dark and brutal. Preparation of this route is laborious and time-consuming so we will probably do only one route in future runs. I still prefer Paragon Route but I kinda understand why Jan had fun of writing Renegade dialogues a lot. We still have .Karma files sidequests to complete and that will be the last video of this series.

Renegade route answers some questions in Paragon Route. For example, it shows what happened before Melia is teleported to black and white doomed future. It turns out that Paragon Melia is switched to M2's body while M2 is switched to past Renegade Melia's body. M2 is desperate and she helps MC to destroy the world.

It's interesting that Paragon Melia creates End of Night, aka the Obliteration Spell and it is used in Renegade, while Renegade M2 creates Red Chain and it is used in Paragon. This is the evidence of two parallel universes somehow have connection and Zeight can store and load data between them.

The legendaries available after Chapter 15 in Renegade route are Diancie(if Karrina is alive), Genesect from Ren, Birds, Regis and Shaymin. Plus, if we get 999 black prisms LEGITIMATELY we can get Necrozma from Mr. Luck in both routes.
