Andre Kikoski Architect received the American Institute of Architect's Institute Honor Award for the design of The Wright in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. The Institute Honor Award is the profession's highest recognition of works that exemplify excellence. The Wright is one of 27 projects selected from over 700 worldwide submissions.

Andre Kikoski Architect is one of only three firms in the past decade to win an Institute Honor Award for the design of a restaurant. As the first addition to the iconic building's interior, this new restaurant for the Guggenheim comple­ments its host by referencing its unique geometry. Undulating walls, sculptural forms, and a flared ceiling create a playful elegance. Innovative materials include custom metalwork, fiber-optic layered walnut, and a glowing white canopy of layered membranes. A dynamic setting for dining under glowing tiers of light, The Wright at the Guggenheim exhibits the artistic spirit alive within the celebrated institution. And amidst a site-specific artwork by noted artist Liam Gillick, The Wright extends the experience of the museum's galleries to this unique dining venue.

One AIA juror noted The Wright is "sensitively handled and respectful of the essence of the original architecture." Another remarked "the design approach is controlled but playful, and complements the nuance of the Museum's overall movement and dynamic," and a third simply stated "with the confined space and modest budget, this project is exceptional."

Andre Kikoski Architect focuses on creating award-winning design in celebrated buildings as well as in transitional neighborhoods. For instance, the Wyckoff Exchange creates an iconic building in the emerging neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn with a 100 foot long façade of laser-cut rusted corten steel that is internally illuminated with LED lighting. In Harlem, the firm's airy interiors for the elegant public spaces and homes at One Museum Mile at 1280 Fifth Avenue, a 21 story LEED accredited luxury condominium atop the Museum for African Art, are replete with expansive views of Central Park that inspire a unified palette of natural, replenishable materials. Recently, Kikoski emerged as a best-selling designer of furniture and lighting with respected global brands Ligne Roset and Swarovski Crystal.
