The UF8 Advanced DAW Controller is Solid State Logic’s latest studio controller, which has been designed for today’s DAW-based production workflows and ultrafast turn-around times. The UF8 is a premium finish tactile USB controller that is the culmination of SSL’s 40+ year legacy of mastering production workflows and studio ergonomics.

In this video James Ivey dives in and gets hands-on with the UF8, showing us what to expect once you get the UF8 out of the box, how to get it connected and an in-depth tutorial of what software and steps are needed to get the UF8 setup and working with any of the five supported DAWs: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live and Studio One. Plus, James shows us how the UF8 can talk to up to three DAWs at the same time!

James also takes us on a guided tour of the UF8’s layout that includes: 8 100mm touch-sensitive motorised faders, 8V or virtual pots and 8 backlit screens. Plus, a demonstration of the UF8’s control over your DAW that includes Volume, Panning, Automation, Solo, Cut and Record Controls.
