Question of the Day: If a person agrees to have their photo posted on the internet, is he a public person?

Some people, like celebrities, are public people. Others are public people in certain niche areas, like an industry or in connection with a particular event. Allowing a photo of you to be posted on the internet is not enough to cross the threshold into become a public person. If that were the case, anyone with a social media profile photo of themselves would be a public person. Whether a person is public or private in a given situation is often difficult to discern.

There is not expectation of privacy in anything you do in public, including post online, regardless of privacy settings: http://bit.ly/14A6GUF.
