I build my very first (and probably last) DIY L-shape bench for the corner of our room. This is one of the kitchen ideas we have been putting off building: we badly need a bench for our dining table and this has to be L shaped for the nook between the door and window.

I'm not saying it's the best, but if you are looking for how to build a L-shaped dining bench hopefully there's something in this you can copy or avoid!

I built this L shape bench with wooden stud beams and a corner seat with pine furniture board from the DIY Superstore (B&Q and Wickes). The studwork is 38mm x 89mm and the seat is 40cm deep, 45cm high from the ground with lengths of the L-shape 135cm x 120cm.

I had to work backwards to figure out an overhang and to take into account the skirting boards, so your measurements might need to be very different!
