DIY High Voltage Isolation Transformer

Описание к видео DIY High Voltage Isolation Transformer

If you are a mad scientist like me... chances are... you will like to have a super high voltage isolation transformer. Transformers work on the Faraday effect, where a changing current in one coil of wire, and induce a changing voltage in a second coil of wire... The two coils of wire can be completely isolated... and create separate circuits... especially is you add some high voltage insulating material between the two coils... like we are doing in this video!! This can be useful... if you want to drive a filament on a vacuum tube.. that is floating at a high voltage potential.. no problem.. the isolation transformer can put current into your tube.. even is your tube is operating at a very high voltage... in this project.. I build an isolation transformer capable of holding off 60kV.. that is a lot of voltage.. I use an epoxy like liquid plastic... which seems to be very good for potting high voltage equipment.. an amazon link is provided below.. and... remember if you order though my link.. it doesn't cost you anything extra... bet it does help me provide new content to this channel!! Thank You!!!
