International award-winning pianist Logan Evan Thomas has released his long-anticipated trio album entitled “Brain Tonic” on iTunes and Google Play.

The spirit of the upcoming album "Brain Tonic" is that of exploration, fearlessness, discovery, and equipping personal strengths and explosive energy to be used as tools for empowerment. Brain Tonic is an attempt at getting dirty and uncovering realness and truth in a fake, processed and digital age. The album artwork created by Jazart puts things into perspective, witnessing Logan’s human face emerging from a futuristic robotic helmet.

Thomas states, “All of my favorite records from the past have a lot of "mistakes" in it, which always add so much character and beauty to the music.

You can truly feel an artists spirit when things come out in real time and are left the way they are, instead of trying to artificially ‘fix’ or clean those parts up in order to make it sound right. For this project, I wanted to weave together creative conceptual original compositions and fresh re-imagined arrangements of popular music with the intent to expose honesty and realness by continuously recreating an "in the moment" experience with no post-production or editing. My piano mentor, the great Fred Hersch, once told me years ago that sometimes a painter needs to get a little messy.

That has always resonated with me.” With this in mind, LET gathered his group and recorded an entire 10 song album in one sitting, using mostly first or second takes. With every member possessing individual virtuosic musical abilities, their fusing together spawns no less than an outrageously high energy and cutting-edge modern piano trio. Joined by Teymur Phell who romances the bass like a saxophonist, and Andrew Atkinson who explosively violates the drum set, the trio is a force to be reckoned with.

It’s been a lot of hard work from everyone involved for over a year, to be real, it was closer to two years of refining everything we hope you’ll love. Each element of excellence had an expert in their fields contributing to Logan’s directed vision from the heart for this album, which is the illuminating light and sound from his soul.
This Album Art was truly a mind-blowing experience for me to create, the birthing of the visual aspects of this project was influenced by its sound that brought me through an unseen cross-dimensional realm in which I tried to capture some of its intrinsic nature for you in my art.
