In this colorful mixed media project, students design “Beadies”—small, sparkling collages that combine handmade polymer clay beads with a variety of commercial beads. Along the way, they explore how beads can tell personal and cultural stories, from ancient traditions to contemporary art.
This lesson builds skills in design, pattern, and material manipulation while encouraging creative self-expression through narrative art.
