What started as a simple plan turned into one of the most unforgettable days of our trip. After leaving Silver City, Idaho, our intended trail toward Jarbridge, Nevada ended in private land and a dead end—forcing us to pivot into the unknown.

The trail we chose next led us through massive Nevada mountain vistas, dense pine forests, and one of the steepest, rockiest descents we’ve experienced. Wind kept us from flying the drone, but the solitude and scale of this place were unforgettable.

We explore the historic mining town of Jarbridge, one of Nevada’s most isolated communities, before finding a quiet off-grid camp for the night.
