This video captures the reflections and experiences of the N-POC PhD scholars who attended the Bergen Summer Research School 2024 in Norway. For the first time under the new bi-institutional arrangement between the University of Bergen (UiB) and the University of the South Pacific (USP), 17 scholars from across the Pacific engaged in this intensive program focused on global challenges at the intersection of climate, oceans, and sustainable development.

The Bergen Summer School provided a platform for Pacific scholars to share their perspectives, strengthen networks with international peers, and explore new ways of connecting research with practice. This milestone marks a deepening collaboration between UiB and USP through the Norway-Pacific Ocean-Climate Scholarship Programme (N-POC), an official UN Ocean Decade Action (2021–2030).
