Snorkeling with Manta Rays & Wild Dolphins in Nusa Penida Bali 🇮🇩 Indonesia Travel Vlog

In this Indonesia Travel Vlog, we decided to sign up for a tour to go snorkeling with manta rays in Nusa Penida! In our last video we were able to watch people snorkeling with mantas from the Manta View cliff and it looked amazing! We decided that we really wanted to experience this for ourselves! We found a tour close to the pier in Nusa Penida that was 200,000 Rp each ($13.23 USD). There were two options: a morning tour or an afternoon tour. As we already had plans in the morning, we decided to do the afternoon tour at 2pm. We met at the place where we paid for the tour and they drove us to the pier where we joined many other people who were on the same tour. The tour was supposed to stop at 4 points (Manta Bay, Cristal Bay, Gamat Bay, and Toya Pakeh Point). We ended up only going to 3 of the 4 stops as some people on the tour had to catch the ferry back to mainland Bali. We were also confused as the tour we did didn't go to the same Manta Point that we had seen from the cliff. Apparently there is more than one location for the manta rays. We drove about 20 minutes to the first stop and the guys in charge told us that instead of manta rays there were wild dolphins! They said that manta rays are scared of dolphins, so the mantas would have left, but we were able to jump in and see over 10 wild dolphins! It was amazing even to see them so close to the boat! Then we drove just a couple minutes away to the second stop where there were two manta rays! We were able to snorkel very close to them which was so amazing! They are so huge and they glide through the water unlike anything we've ever seen! Unfortunately at one point Carles got stung by a jellyfish! Luckily the guys on the boat had something to put on it to stop it from stinging so much. We then went to the final location were there were lots of colorful fish in the water. It ended up being such a great trip and we are still amazed by the manta rays and dolphins! (If you do a manta ray snorkel tour, try to go in the morning as they said they saw many more manta rays in the morning than in the afternoon)!
