Описание к видео How Assisted Living at Fellowship Helps Our Residents and Their Families (Testimonial)

Hear a testimonial from Susan, a resident's daughter, and learn about the care options that her mother received at Fellowship: https://www.fellowshipseniorliving.or...

Video Transcription:

"It's hard to express how much I appreciate the thoroughness and the level of compassion, the level of care. The people who know my mom, they know whether she played the piano yesterday or whether she didn't play the piano yesterday: they know everything about her.

My mother moved to Fellowship Village on the independent side, and very quickly, she took a turn for the worse and spent some time in the hospital. When she got out of the hospital, she had to spend some time in sub-acute. Then, she moved to assisted living, rather than move back to the independent side.

The community was amazing from a support side, and to our family, and to my mom. The staff knew when she was going to move to sub-acute, they had the bed ready at sub-acute and told me every single thing I needed to do, or didn't need to do: all of that was taken care of. Priceless, actually.

When we were in sub-acute, the whole goal was to get her back, either to assisted, or back the independent side. A whole team of people who helped us make that decision when we were leaving sub-acute as to where she should go. If I was in a separate community. I just don't have any idea how that would have been - I think all the decisions would have been on me, and that would have been awful.

My mother had played the piano for years, and her arthritis got to the point where she couldn't reach an octave, so she was determined she couldn't play. Then, we finally got her back on the piano after she heard this music program! So, I sit and do a crossword puzzle and she plays the piano and I say, "Oh, Mom, I love that one. Play it again, play it again!"

The first time she played, I cried, because I was just so happy to have that back being a part of her life."
