Hello YouTube. A couple of years ago I built my own Video editing PC and posted some videos about it which you guys seemed to like. I receive questions all the time. So I thought I’d make a quick video to show you the upgrades I have performed since I originally built it. The computer is still just about held together by my cheap Casecom case however it is the next component in need of an upgrade. Other than that, the processor is still the AMD Fx6100 which is still going strong with the stock cooling system and is still really quick by today’s standards two years down the line. I’m also still using the same Motherboard, the Asus M578LM USB3 with no problems. I haven’t felt the need to upgrade the RAM so I am still using a set of two four gig sticks of Corsair Vengeance RAM. Power supply has been upgraded several times. I had bad luck with some cheap power supply’s which serves me right so I splashed a little more cash on the Corsair CX500 which has been going strong for over a year now and is of a much higher quality. When I built the PC, I had no spare change for some PCI cards, but since then I have added a dual band wifi PCI-E card meaning I could cut the cable. Click the annotation on your screen for more info. I received a lot of grief for using integrated graphics but don’t worry I have recently upgraded to the Nvidia Geforce GT 610. Click the link for more info. Finally I have upgraded my storage solutions. Last Christmas I purchased myself this Corsair V300 SSD which now runs the operating system at lightning speed while the original 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green hard drive has been retired for simple media and document storage. Yes I know the SSD is not mounted properly and I should really get it sorted out. That’s about it for this video.
