I woke up on the floor with a bad head cold and a cough
I barely slept at all but thought I’d try and walk it off
A friend told me of a place that had a pretty name

I stepped aboard an eastbound train, slow and painted red
I was pleased the windows rolled down, I stuck out my head
And daydreamed as the grassy knolls rolled by like waves

I landed in a sleepy village, no one next to me
I tried to follow signs, but the language I couldn’t read
A road led towards the mountain so I followed my feet

Let myself get lost as long as I was headed up
If heaven has a view then surely it’s at the top
But to be truthful every step was worthy of a stop

Skyward through the pastures I rounded off the hill
Guarded by grazing cattle glorious and still
I was hardly surprised to see your figure in the valley

I sat down in the dirt next to a calf with deep brown eyes
Let myself melt under her gaze and felt alright
Overwhelmed with joy I couldn’t help but laugh and cry

My train was leaving soon I had to go I didn’t wanna
Had it not been for this cold I’d think this was nirvana
Then it struck me that I never made it to Helsana
