Fauquier Health is paving the way in minimally-assisted robotic surgery. The da Vinci Xi robotic surgical platform is changing the surgical experience for both surgeons and their patients. Conditions currently treated with the platform include abdominal wall or ventral hernia, gastric bypass, inguinal hernia, paraesophageal or hiatal hernia repair, and bariatric weight loss surgery. The surgeon ultimately maintains complete control over the robotic movements and is still the one to perform the procedure.
