The U.S. has approved a $93M defence sale to India, including Javelin Missile Systems and Excalibur precision artillery projectiles.

This major upgrade comes as both nations deepen strategic cooperation and rebuild momentum after recent trade tensions.

India will receive 100 Javelin anti-tank missile rounds, Command Launch Units, and support equipment, boosting frontline mobility and anti-armor capability.

The U.S. has also cleared 216 M982A1 Excalibur GPS-guided tactical projectiles, enhancing India’s first-strike accuracy and precision targeting.
The deals aim to strengthen the U.S.–India strategic partnership, support India’s ability to counter evolving threats, and reinforce defence ties in the Indo-Pacific.

With trade talks resuming and negotiations on the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) back on track, this approval signals improving ties between the two democracies.
