The Southern African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) officially handed over a network of Automated Weather Stations (AWS) to the Government of the Republic of Zambia, in a landmark event held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Lusaka, on 28th October 2025.

This initiative strengthens Zambia’s capacity in climate monitoring, data-driven research, and early warning systems to support sustainable development and climate resilience.

🎙️ The handover ceremony brought together representatives from the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment, Meteorological Department, and international partners, reaffirming the shared commitment to advancing scientific innovation and environmental sustainability.
