Hometown Eats: Woodruff's Pie Shop

The family behind Woodruff's Pie Shop has been on the same corner in Amherst County, VA for over 150 years. A blacksmith shop in the 1860s, a country store in the 1950s and in 1998 Woodruff's Pie Shop was opened and buddy they are some of the best pies I've ever eaten.
Don't take my word for it, Southern Living Magazine called the apple pie the "best apple pie ever" and Tasting Table named the coconut custard pie as the best in Virginia.
They were also featured by Al Roker on the Today Show in 2020.

Woodruff's Pie Shop is open Wednesday through Saturday 10am-4pm and is located at 3297 Elon Rd, Monroe, VA 24574.
