Siliguri to Tarey Bhir | Bike Trip April 2021

Tarey Bhir, a relatively new tourist destination in South Sikkim, is around 80 km from Siliguri and 16 km from Namchi. On 1st April 2021 we started early in the morning from Siliguri in our Bajaj Avenger 220 Street bike and one by one crossed Salugara, Coronation Bridge at Sevoke, Kalijhora, Tista and finally left Kalimpong district to enter Sikkim at Melli. To our surprise we did not face any difficulty entering Sikkim under this Covid situation. Sikkim Police was really helpful in guiding us the easiest way to Tarey Bhir, because the Google Map was showing multiple and confusing routes. We passed across many picturesque small villages in Sikkim Hills and met so many cordial and helpful people there. The last few kilometers before Tarey Bhir were challenging because the roads were under construction and it was a steep gradient. However we managed to reach Tarey Bhir at around 12:15pm. Tarey Bhir is actually a prolonged and narrow mountain ridge (2-2.5 km in length) where you can walk and enjoy the beauty of nature. During the clear weather the view gets even better. After exploring Tarey Bhir we went back following the same road and finally ended our day at Ramdhura near Kalimpong That part is coming up in our next video. Hope you enjoy the trip with us.
