Marie-Anne Franqueville at Cristallerie Saint-Louis mentored by Richard Deacon - Artists' Residencies 2013.

Under the teachings of Richard Deacon (her teacher at ENSBA), Marie-Anne Franqueville has work in Moselle (France) from February 2013, alongside artisans at the Cristallerie Saint-Louis. With a rich history dating back to the 16th century, the factory became Louis XV's official 'royal glassworks' in 1767, before discovering the secret of lead crystal in 1781 -- the first of many epoch-making innovations developed at this exceptional site.
