Besides the good memes this build provides, there is an actual reason for the gear, the rotation and the squad’s subgroups. However, this build is not recommended for unorganized groups and/or bosses with actual mechanics…
With 100% boon duration the Mechanist is able to sustain Alacrity on 5 players with mace auto attacks only. These won’t overstack, so doing anything else other than mace AAs would have resulted in Alacrity drops.
While the Mechanist is providing Alacrity for himself and four others, the mech is providing Alacrity for the other five players. The trait “Channeling Conduits”, which gives Alacrity on barrier application, has a one second cooldown per affected target, making this strat possible.
To ensure there was no “RNG” on the Alacrity and the Might from the mech itself, we split into two stacks of five people. The Mechanist and the mech were slightly behind their corresponding stacks.
Due to the need of this one big sub, the Catalysts also had to take the positioning of their air sphere for quickness into consideration. Therefore, the Catalysts placed their spheres slightly behind their stack to ensure proper uptimes.
The Might coverage for the players affected by the Mechanist’s Alacrity was taken care of by the Bladesworn who used “Phalanx Strength” and “For Great Justice”. Big shoutout to Neno.2149 for playing the BS during progress.
Catalyst was the obvious dps choice due the insane damage and Quickness coverage.
