OpenWRT - Flint (GL-AX1800) WiFi 6 Router Overview & Performance Test

Описание к видео OpenWRT - Flint (GL-AX1800) WiFi 6 Router Overview & Performance Test

In this video, we will have an overview of the Flint Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router from GL-iNet (GL-AX1800). At the same time, we will conduct some tests to check out the router's performance.
The test includes WiFi 6 throughput on 2.4G and 5G band, WAN to LAN throughput test with OpenSpeedTest and iPerf3, OpenVPN & Wireguard VPN throughput and finally a BufferBloat test.
I was impressed by the performance of the Flint Router, especially the WAN to LAN throughput. With 940Mbps WAN to LAN throughput at 75% CPU idle, I can confirm that the router can handle Gigabit Ethernet easily. The downside is that it was built with QSDK (QCA Software Development Kit - based on OpenWRT 15.05) and this branch is outdated. I assume that the WiFi driver is closed source and I am not sure if the WiFi performance is still good when the device's firmware was pushed to openwrt.org.
