TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE HOUND Walmart Reissue Review

In Transformers, Hound was one of the original Autobots who crash-landed on Earth and fought to protect the planet from the Evil Decepticons. He was also the first Autobot that Spike rode in. This version, which is a Walmart Exclusive and “inspired” by the original toy and Transformers: The Movie, is a bit different from the G1 release. Captain Kyle checks it out to see if it’s good for your collection.

Hound is called upon whenever a scout is needed to sniff out the Decepticons’ location and plans. While his tech spec states he can project holographic maps, the cartoon took that further into creating full holographic illusions. The Generation One toy, along with this new version, has a spare tire and a gas can that are often hard to find when buying loose originals. This version doesn’t have stickers but might help fill in your G1 Autobot line. Captain Kyle reviews it in detail, and brings along e-Hobby Detritus for comparison.
