Did you have a vanishing twin?

Scientists have identified certain kinds of chemical markers called epigenetic markers in the genomes of identical twins. Using this data, individuals can now determine if they were originally a twin in the womb and had a twin who vanished — a phenomena that is quite common. ThePrint’s Sandhya Ramesh explains new findings from the Netherlands and their implications in helping us understand how the environment alters our genetic information.
