In today’s trading session, the benchmark equity indices closed in positive territory, with the NSE Nifty 50 gaining 217.40 points, or 0.88%, to settle at 25,013.15. The BSE Sensex followed suit, jumping 584.81 points, or 0.72%, reaching 81,634.81. The Bank Nifty index also performed well, ending higher by 542.10 points, or 1.07%, at 51,021.

A highlight of the day was SpiceJet's impressive surge of 9.5% following the announcement of adding 10 new planes to its fleet by November. This move includes acquiring seven planes on lease and reintroducing three previously grounded aircraft, all backed by a successful funding round that raised ₹3,000 crore.

In stock news, Jyoti Structures saw its shares skyrocket by 10% after investor Ashish Kacholia acquired a 2.52% stake in the company. The stock has displayed remarkable growth, rising 91% over the past year. Recently, the company secured significant orders and reported a net profit of ₹5 crore for the June 2024 quarter.

As for the precious metals market, the price of gold in India today stands at ₹7,100 per gram for 22 karat gold and ₹7,745 per gram for 24 karat gold.

Additionally, China's stock rally began losing momentum as Hong Kong shares slumped, with officials providing disappointing details on measures to support the country's slowing economy.
