The first part of Cat Quest was successful enough so that the developers of The Gentlebros decided to create a sequel. You can get a general idea of ​​the continuation from the fresh videos that the studio shared.

Cat Quest II is a two-dimensional role-playing action game with an open world, the events of which unfold in the fantastic kingdom of cats and dogs. Players will be able to play for either of the two species of animals, either alone or in a cooperative. The story revolves around two kings, whom fate brought against their will against the backdrop of a long war between the cats of Felingard and the dogs of the Lupus Empire.

The authors highlight the following novelties and features of the continuation:

• New spells.
• New types of weapons - master’s swords, staves and others.
• A variety of dungeons with new traps and obstacles.
• New passive abilities, the properties of which can be combined.
• Many additional quests, each of which is a different story.
• The function of changing the character and playing together - you can play either immediately with a cat, a dog, or one of them together with a friend.

Cat Quest II will be released on September 24 on Steam, and later in the fall will get to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Also planned is a version for Apple Arcade, but without a specific release window.
