Canada has announced a major immigration update that could significantly benefit French-speaking candidates seeking Permanent Residence (PR).

On January 19, Canada’s Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab confirmed that the federal government is adding 5,000 additional PR selection spaces specifically for French-speaking immigrants outside Quebec. These spaces will be allocated to provinces and territories through Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) and regional immigration pilots.
