Описание к видео Polished Floors Are Slippery When Wet No Matter What Your American Slip Resistance Tester Says!

Polished floors offer great slip resistance when clean and dry, but they are almost always very slippery when wet! At https://safetydirectamerica.com/ we sell reliable, certified, and engineer-stamped floor slip resistance testing services as well as internationally accepted floor slip test devices (also known as tribometers.) American slip resistance test devices, such as the BOT-3000E (used in ANSI A326.3, or the DCOF AcuTest) and the ASM 825A (an SCOF tester), can give highly misleading results saying that polished and otherwise slippery floors are not slippery at all, which is why these floor slip test devices are promoted and endorsed highly and heavily by American tile manufacturers and stone/concrete polishers. These tests help sell slippery floors!

The Tile Council of North America's (TCNA) latest test method, ANSI A326.3 itself, says "... it can provide a useful comparison of surfaces, but does not predict the likelihood a person will or will not slip on a hard surface flooring material.” To use an American test like this, promoted heavily by American tile sales people and floor polishers, to assess the slip risk of a floor will potentially get you in a lot of trouble. Not only will you not know if your floor is slippery or not, but when you're defending yourself in court after your slippery floor has caused some innocent pedestrian a life-changing injury or death, then you'll have to "play dumb" when asked under oath why you were using a floor slip resistance test that clearly stated on page one of the test method that it shouldn't be used to assess real-world slip risk.

Instead, use the pendulum tester and ASTM E303-22 (see https://safetydirectamerica.com/floor..., which is what the rest of the world has been using for over 50 years to assess the real-world slip resistance of floors based on decades of research into real-world slip and fall accidents in at least 50 countries all over the earth. The SlipAlert (now sold as the iAlert) has been shown to have very high correlation with pendulum dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF) test results, so that is another instrument that can help identify slippery floors around a property before they get you into costly and nerve-racking slip and fall lawsuits. Those aren't good for your sleep, and sleep is important!

Don't be fooled by tile salespeople, their representatives in the American "tile councils" and "safety institutes", and stone and concrete polishing associations. Use internationally proven science like the pendulum DCOF tester used in ASTM E303-22 (USA), EN 16165:2021 (European Union and United Kingdom), and AS 4586-2013 (Australia and New Zealand).

You can avoid getting dragged into costly (for the building owner) and life-changing (for the innocent victim) slip and fall lawsuits if you know the truth about your floor's slipperiness based on science, or you can pretend to be doing your "due diligence" by testing your floors with American floor tribometers and faulty test methods that have been proven to give false readings on very slippery floors. The choice is yours. But ultimately, the choice may be in the hands of a jury. Were you not able to read page one of ANSI A326.3? Or did you just like that it said all your slippery floors weren't slippery?

More information on how you should never, ever use ANSI A326.3 and BOT-3000E as a floor safety test is available at https://ansi-a326-3.info/ and https://safetydirectamerica.com/2022-...
