Turbo 5.3 LS Mustang Barn Find! The SonicStang RETURNS! | Cleanup, Taking Inventory and Cruising

This time on SPPTV it's a big episode for OG subscribers! The SonicStang is BACK! And the plan is to take it to a Cash Days race on August 13th, so we gotta get to work on this thing!

For those new to the channel the SonicStang is a Sonic Blue 1992 Ford Mustang. Currently it has a built up Powerglide transmission, a 8.8 Ford rear end with a spool, 33 spline axles etc. , and a 5.3 gen 3 LS engine. The turbo I bought years ago for this car is a Borg Warner S475.

The previous combo was a small block Ford nitrous setup, and the car went 9.35 @ 154 with a pedal near the 60'. I would like this combo to go a 9 second quarter mile. And possibly in the future I will upgrade the engine, maybe even the turbo, and try to go really fast with this thing. For now the plan is to just race it again basically as is.

First we take the car out of it's spot, clean it up, take inventory, and later that night I ordered a bunch of parts. We also go cruising in this video! Stay tuned for more on everyone's favorite Mustang!
