The Chaos Engine (SNES) longplay

Описание к видео The Chaos Engine (SNES) longplay

The Chaos Engine (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
Renegade Software/The Bitmap Brothers 1993
Played on RetroArch (Snes9x core) with XBOX One Controller
Score: 42,180 (Navvie), 6,580 (Scientist)

Amiga CD32 version has a lot wider view of the play area while SNES has more vertical visibility. CD32 has better sound quality and longer intro. SNES, unlike the CD32 version, does not suffer from noticable slowdowns. SNES and Sega Mega Drive had the Preacher character changed to Scientist and US versions were titled Soldiers of Fortune.

Having the Scientist as the computer played character is a bit like playing on easy mode: invaluable special healing power, fast movement, good enemy projectile avoidance, and reasonably powerfully armed when properly upgraded. I made it to the final boss with 12 lives and even the Scientist survived the boss fight.
