The temple is located in two popular places; Dakshineshwar Kali Mandir, and Kalighat Kali Mandir. In this brief video, we will get to know everything about these temples, how to reach them, where to stay, etc.

Let's start with how to reach Kolkata:

By train: There are two main railway stations; Howrah railway station and Sealdah station. You can take a direct train from your city and arrive here.

By flight: You can take a flight from your city and arrive at Dum Dum Airport in Kolkata.

By road: Kolkata has good connectivity to roads, you can reach here by your own vehicle or embark on a bus journey too.

Kalighat Kali Mandir:

The distance between Kalighat temple and the station is 7 to 8 km. You can cover this distance by taxi which costs Rs 150/-. The idol of Kali Mata has a golden tongue.

Dakshineshwar Kali Mandir

It is approx 20 to 30 km from the railway station. Cover this distance by metro, taxi, or bus. Visit Dakshineshwar Kali Mandir and also explore the rich history of the temple. No phones and cameras are allowed in the temple.

The other attraction is Belur Math. Visit it by boating. You can also have lunch as there is a Langar facility too.

You can stay at IRCTC guest houses or opt for private hotels as per your budget.
