The airborne Leishen Commando of China's air force won first place recently at "Altyn Yki-2015", an international military competition held in Kazakhstan.

Ten teams from Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Belarus, the United States and some other countries took part in the competition.

Altyn Yki-2015 is a high-level international competition for special forces focusing on comprehensive combat skills under cruel and perilous conditions.

Every team had to finish 11 subjects, including a 30-kilometer march, a 10-kilometer armed cross-country maneuvering each carrying a load of more than 30 kilograms, and coordinated sniping. The Chinese team, winning eight champions, ranked first in the 10-kilometer event with an advantage of 20 minutes.

The Chinese commandos slept no more than 4 hours a day and drunk 4.5 liter water a day on average during the five-day-four-night competition and eventually came out first in total scores.

The Leishen Commando was founded in 2011. It was the second time that China's airborne troops participated in an international competition on behalf of the PLA special forces, after a lapse of 11 years.
